Enrollment Projections

Bigger may not necessarily mean better, but the bottom line is that more students bring in more state aid.  Does that mean that Wisconsin Heights, with our declining enrollment, is a sinking ship with no hope for the future?  NO!!

If you look at the population projections, every projection shows enrollment will increase, first in suburban areas, then in more rural areas.  But projections are just that, projections - how about something more concrete.   Look at our enrollment numbers.  The smallest graduating classes are currently going into 5th and 6th grades.  After that, all classes are larger.  The incoming Kindergartners number 66 so far - the largest class in 7 years!    Projections estimate that K-5 enrollment numbers will increase and we are seeing that already.

Imagine what our class sizes will be when our now empty homes and lots begin selling.   Real Estate ABC’s lists the number one thing to consider when purchasing a home is location, location, location.  And under location it lists the school district as a major factor.  Families are looking for homes in a school district they can be confident will continue provide a quality education.

More children are being born in Wisconsin today than 4 years ago.  We have a great school district to offer these children.   We have a great community to offer these families.  We are at a crossroads and need a plan to preserve our schools and preserve our community.  Now.
